Explore New Hampshire’s Covered Bridges While Solving A Scavenger Hunt
September is the perfect time to explore New Hampshire’s covered bridges. This year, you can catch the first views of the fall foliage while solving an epic scavenger hunt organized by the Inn at Pleasant Lake.
Caleb’s Covered Bridge Caper
Caleb, a curious and often tardy turtle, has set out to rejoin his family. He believes they’ve left him behind on their visit to his cousins’ nests at the covered bridges. And so his covered bridge caper begins!
The challenge begins and ends at the Inn at Pleasant Lake, where you’ll pick up your Covered Bridge Tour Guide Booklet and Covered Bridge Scavenger Hunt Clue Sheet. There’s no cost to participate, but you’ll need to check in at the inn first to be eligible for prizes. Complete all 10 clues and you could win a $100 gift certificate to stay at the Inn at Pleasant Lake or dine at their top-rated restaurant, Oak & Grain.
What You’ll Need
You’ll need a map of the area roads or a GPS with excellent cell service, and a camera to document clue answers. Adventurers can purchase a picnic lunch from Oak & Grain (must be reserved in advance), or stop for lunch and ice cream along the route.
The Covered Bridge Caper runs from September 9-October 31 2017. You can get the full story on Caleb, the mischievous turtle, online at the Inn at Pleasant Lake blog.
The Inn at Pleasant Lake is located at 853 Pleasant Street, New London, NH. For questions about the Covered Bridge Caper, contact Scott Reed at the inn at (603) 529-6271, email@example.com.
